VOLUNTEER POLICY

Volunteer Policy for Pridefest 2023 presented by Pridefest Collaborative:

Eligibility: Volunteers must be 18 years or older, must sign the volunteer agreement and liability waiver, and must agree to abide by Pridefest Collaborative’s policies and procedures.

Selection Process: Volunteers will be selected based on their skills, availability, and interests. All applicants will be required to fill out a volunteer application form.

Training: All volunteers will be required to attend a mandatory training session prior to the event. The training session will cover the event’s policies and procedures, roles and responsibilities, safety and security, and customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities: Volunteers will be assigned to various roles based on their skills and interests. Roles may include but are not limited to event set-up, customer service, information booth, crowd control, and tear-down. Volunteers will be expected to arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and prepared to fulfill their assigned duties.

Code of Conduct: Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. This includes treating all individuals with respect and courtesy, refraining from discriminatory or offensive language, and refraining from consuming alcohol or drugs while on duty.

Confidentiality: Volunteers may have access to confidential information related to the event, such as attendee data or financial information. Volunteers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of this information and to not disclose it to unauthorized individuals.

Liability: Pridefest Collaborative will provide liability insurance coverage for volunteers. However, volunteers are responsible for their own personal injury or property damage that may occur while performing their duties.

Recognition: Pridefest Collaborative recognizes the valuable contribution of volunteers and will provide appropriate recognition and appreciation for their service.

Feedback: Pridefest Collaborative values feedback from its volunteers and will provide an opportunity for volunteers to share their experiences and provide feedback after the event.

Termination: Pridefest Collaborative reserves the right to terminate the volunteer agreement and relationship at any time for any reason, including but not limited to failure to comply with policies and procedures, misconduct, or breach of confidentiality.
